What is coaching?

Coaching is a one-to-one dynamic conversation between coach and client which takes place either over the telephone or face-to-face.

It will support you to release potential and obtain what YOU want from life. It provides focus and clarity. It builds confidence and develops self awareness. It is about you recognising how you are living and working and then experimenting with new ways of thinking, doing and being in order to make changes.

Sessions are highly focused and act as a catalyst for decision making and change. We will identify goals and explore ways of achieving them. This will include looking at any obstacles in the way.

All sessions are confidential.

Why do I need coaching?

Perhaps you are ready for a change, feeling stuck or in need of motivation, perhaps there are goals that you want to achieve but don't know how. Maybe you lack clarity or your confidence has nose-dived. There are as many reasons as there are people! Excellent coaching will help YOU to take action, release potential and achieve the positive changes that you want in your life, both professionally and personally.

How many sessions will I need?

That really depends on you and what you want to achieve. Some people find that 4 to 6 sessions are enough to help them recognise how to move forward and realise their goals. A commitment to 3 months coaching would see real sustainable change. The coaching process does not build reliance on the coach. It promotes a way of thinking that builds independence and self-momentum. You will find that you begin to coach yourself!

Is it better face-to-face, or can I have coaching on the phone?

There is no right or wrong only a preference. Coaching over the phone suits many people as it is time effective and allows you to choose the coach that suits you best rather than one close by! Other people prefer seeing and being with their coach. Whichever you prefer.

Where does your face-to-face coaching take place?

Face-to-face personal coaching takes place in Weybridge, Surrey.
Business Coaching clients generally request telephone sessions or prefer sessions at their place of work.

If I have professional coaching paid for by an employer is it confidential? And what if I raise aspects of my private life?

When an organisation is paying for coaching, the contract will explicitly address expectations about client/coach confidentiality. In most cases confidentiality remains a feature of the coaching. Aspects of your private life will play a part in your performance at work as will your personality, experience and approach to life. Although the emphasis in sessions is likely to be focused on work-related issues there will be overlap. Increased happiness and confidence will bring about positive change impacting on all areas of your life.

I'm unhappy in my home life, could coaching help me?

Take action, arrange for a free 30 minute phone session and find out! You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Should your circumstances require a different sort of help than coaching you will have taken that important first step towards change.
